R.I.P. Brandon Sigler

June 3rd, 2009 at 3:42 pm CST

A Mobile police officer,  26, was shot and killed by some punk 18 year old, Richard Hollingsworth, late Tuesday night. I hope they bury him under the prison and forget about him. One of my best friends field trained Sigler right when he got out of the academy. Knowing quite a few cops, I am not in a good mood today. Also since I was going to become one myself (but changed my mind during the process).

Wii Golf Tip of the Day

April 16th, 2009 at 9:43 pm CST

If you’ve been trying to best your high score forever and finally do, don’t shut the Wii off at the final scorecard screen, it apparently doesn’t save. I’m not a golf person but like to play it on the Wii. I’ve been stuck at 2 under (-2) for months and have tried to play and improve. Today I finally went 7 under (-7) and was thrilled. Later tonight I went back on to play, my record shows as 2 under (-2). I’m well beyond not happy.

Welcome Home Hussein

April 8th, 2009 at 9:30 pm CST

Glad you’re back from your U.S. denigration tour. Not sure any U.S. leader has made this country look as bad and as weak as you have, but the ignorant populous voted you in so this is what we get. And when you speak, you DO NOT speak for me. You’re a fool and have continued to make yourself look like a fool. You’re not on the campaign trail anymore, stay home and make the “change” you’re supposedly going to make.

Ryan Reaves and textlesson.com

March 19th, 2009 at 10:29 pm CST

Ryan Reaves, another talentless idiot who runs textlesson.com, created a front to promote SEO Studio from Trendmx. Born April 6, 1972, should’ve died April 7, 1972. Referrer spamming many of my sites, he obviously can’t produce results without lowering himself to referrer spamming to try and get traffic to his “blog”. Another URL to have to waste your time blocking, but necessary to keep these morons at bay. Block it, report to the major SEs.

Mark Masson, the “Internet Enthusiast”

March 19th, 2009 at 9:23 pm CST

If you’ve browsed your site stats, you may have seen a referrer from truemiles.com lately. They come from a person named Mark Masson, a true dumbass. From one of the “posts” on his blog called Improved Google rankings?: “Recently I have been experimenting with various tools that claim to help you boost your web site rankings.” Well, this includes referrer spamming, and he learned this at SMX from “the real SEO professionals”.

Major changes ahead for next year, it’s going to be bigger. If you’re not there, you’re out of it. New changes will be announced at mobilecarshow.com soon.

Gotta Love Sarah

February 24th, 2009 at 1:14 am CST

The election is over. It is time to repair friendships with the other party. Governor Sarah Palin is doing her part to do reapir those friendships. The rest of the world cannot understand how, after such bitter election campaigns, American politicians can kiss and make-up. For instance, Gov. Palin has invited, (to her great state of Alaska) the men who defeated her, Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Why Most Affiliates Fail, Or Why I Fail?

February 19th, 2009 at 12:57 am CST

I’ve recently looked at the conversion rates for the programs I promote and they are less than stellar. Many less than 1%. While the amount of traffic sent is fairly low, the conversion rates are fairly consistent among the programs. In my case the conversion rate seems to be just about 1 in 150. Now, again, this varies, but it seems to be the golden number. Most of my sites combined dont get 150 visits a day but the end numbers matter.

And They Want Them on Jeopardy?

February 13th, 2009 at 12:29 am CST

I was watching Jeopardy tonight, I often do most nights, but I usually turn it when the final answer round comes up because I typically have no clue about the topic. I play it by ear just in the second round based on what I know. I like to know a lot of things but not everything. Tonight the final answer category was “International Relations” so I just decided to wait around to see the answer since I try to keep up with those issues.

Rogue Affiliate Managers and Your Data

February 6th, 2009 at 11:13 pm CST

I have to say something about this. It’s been pissing me off for a while. When I submit my email address, or any other information, to an affiliate program then I assume that it’s retained within that program. If a program manager leaves their position I gullibly assume that information stays with the program. I’ve learned that’s just not the case.
