Donations for the Children

Ok, I'm normally not a solicitor, but I thought I'd use my blog for something good. I'm trying to gather donations for two causes, both of them benefit children. The first, which is constrained by time, is Toy for Tots. A group of ladies I know organize a large Toys for Tots drive and are actively seeking donations. My dad and I always contribute, and I would like to reach out to others as well. It's constrained by time because everything needs to be in by the 2nd week in December.

The other cause I'm trying to raise funds for is our annual car show here in Mobile which donates it's proceeds to the United Methodist Children's Home (Babies First program). You don't have to be Methodist, you don't have to go to church. You don't have to believe in God. You just have to care for kids. The UMCH program benefits young mothers and their children. The Babies First program helps young mothers establish "a life" with a new child and put them on the road towards a hopeful future.

I know I only have a few readers to this blog, even if you can't afford a donation, please refer this blog post to someone else who may be able to. These two causes are important to me. The ladies who donate their time for the Toys for Tots drive are great ladies, and we proudly put on our car show to benefit young mothers and their children.
